As Germany's leading car rental company, Sixt has now moved into Uruguay.

Through its partners and franchises, the company is currently present in 100 countries, with no less than 4,000 agencies boasting some 60,000 vehicles, and a turnover of 1.54 billion euros in 2010.

2011 will see the strengthening of the Sixt network in South America. The company will therefore open a new agency in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay.

Working together with an influential partner on the local market, the network offers a 'Meet & Greet Service' in the international airport. This development in Uruguay looks set to continue.

Sixt now plans to open a branch in October 2011 at Punta del Esta, a Uruguayan seaside resort renowned for its high-class tourism.
